Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center is changing the face of medicine in the White Mountains of Arizona.
They continue to add more programs and services to keep residents from having to leave the area to get treated.
One way to help expand those services is with their annual Summit Healthcare Dark Skies and Black Ties Sparkles and Spurs Gala fundraiser.
“It’s important because we want to keep healthcare here at home,” said Angie Kolling, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center. “We don’t want our patients to travel off the mountain for healthcare services that we can provide here for them locally.”
Kolling said this year’s gala has expanded to three days, from July 17-19.
The festivities kick off with Golf the Summit at the Torreon Golf Course on Friday. If you’re looking to do some shopping and catch a fashion show instead, Ladies Day Out will also be going on the same day at the Torreon Pavilion.
The Dark Skies and Black Ties Sparkles and Spurs Gala will be on Saturday. People can enjoy a nice dinner, get a chance to bid on some auction items and listen to Black and Whyte Dueling Pianos.
You can wrap up the weekend on Sunday by attending the first annual Dark Skies and Black Ties Sparkles and Spurs brunch at Torreon.
This year’s proceeds will benefit the Summit Healthcare Telehealth Program. The last three years have been dedicated to helping expand the new Summit Healthcare Cancer Center.
“One hundred percent of the proceeds stay right here on the mountain,” Kolling said. “They don’t go for administrative fees or anything like that, it all goes straight to the cause.”
There is still time to register for the events. Visit www.summitgala.net for all the details.
