Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center is hosting its 18th Annual Women’s Health Conference on Saturday, April 23 in Pinetop, Arizona.
It will be held at the Hon-Dah Resort Casino and Conference Center and the theme this year is “Who let the Girls out?
“We used to do it at the hospital and then the church,” said Angie Kolling, Chief Marketing & Development Officer for Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center.
The women’s conference has made some big changes over the years.
“We opened it up to all vendors who are not just health related,” Kolling said. “Ladies like to shop, so we brought in jewelry, makeup and candle vendors.”
Kolling said the majority of vendors are from the White Mountains area including Payson and Phoenix.
“They not only can shop and talk, but check out Summit Healthcare clinics and other health companies at the conference,” Kolling said.
The hospital’s booths include the Cancer Center, Dermatology and Heart Lung and Vascular.
The ladies even have a chance to listen to a few speakers from the hospital along with invited keynote speaker Denise Ryan.
“We decided to go with a motivational speaker this year due to the response from attendees in the past,” Kolling said.
Ryan, who is based out of Raleigh, North Carolina, features chocolate and motivation in her presentation. She uses nine motivational concepts that can help participants get more out of every day personally and professionally.
“I enjoy this conference because it gives the women an opportunity to see vendors they might not see anywhere else,”Kolling said. “They like to bring their friends, daughters, mothers, sisters and they just have a good time.”
